Prague in (iPhone) photos

My only regret about my trip to Prague was not bringing my clunky DSLR. It’s a pain to lug around, especially because I only carried on one small duffel back for the entire three-week trip to Europe, but my iPhone-quality documentation of our adventures just doesn’t do Prague justice.

I stumbled upon a few posts from this blog featuring lots of high quality shots of Prague’s beautiful architecture, and I couldn’t help but feel a sting of jealousy of the the images that blogger was able to produce. Not only was her camera of a higher caliber, but her artful eye captured the details of the Czech buildings and the colors of the city so beautifully. When I return to Prague, I’ll definitely be bringing my DSLR, and one of the parts of that upcoming extended stay that I am SO looking forward to is simply photographing the city!

Prague is a place that – at least, in my experience living in Pennsylvania – many people have heard of, but aren’t able to place on a map. While most people pine over Paris and Rome when fantasizing about a European getaway, Prague is under the radar and INCREDIBLY underrated. Walk-able, delicious, BEAUTIFUL BEYOND BEAUTIFUL, drenched in history, friendly, cheap… It completely encompasses your SOUL upon discovery, and when I return to Prague, I hope to capture some of the magic to share with those at home who just have no idea what they’re missing out on.

In the meantime, some more shots of our strolls:

Definitely bring the DSLR… early AM on the Charles Bridge and an evening overlooking the river, highly recommended for great photo ops!

Prague it’s stunning and you have a great eye for photography, doesn’t matter if you use your phone or a professional camara, it’s your perspective what makes these shots so beautiful Kristen!

I’m with you, I find carrying my DSLR around when travelling quite cumbersome. BUT I always regret it when I get home and look at the quality of my photos. In saying that, for iPhone photos, yours are pretty darn good
