Lima, Peru: a photo essay

We saved Lima for the end of our trip — we saved the best for last. It wasn’t intentional, except that it was most convenient because our flight back to the States left from Lima, but we were so happy we ended our time in South America on such a magical, intoxicating, beachy vibe.

I’m going to let the photos do the talking for Lima. We were there for such a short time, and we spent it mostly walking the streets, eating as much delicious food as we could squeeze in, and staring out at the Pacific Ocean (my first time!). It’s a place that has left a lasting impression on me — to have only seen one or two tiny fractions of the sprawling capital city (we spent most of the time in the tourist-centric Miraflores district), yet to have such a fierce beating in my heart whenever I look at these pictures… it makes me think Lima must be a pretty special place.

What are some Lima highlights I should hit for when I go back someday?

Love your photos. Looks like your trip to Peru was a busy one, cramped to the fill each day with much traveling and activities. Glad you can check Peru off of your bucket list!
