Hiking adventures in Aspen, Colorado!

This day started off on the wrong foot and ended in happiness and exhaustion.

Our initial plan was to wake up early in our hotel in Glenwood Springs, grab something quick to eat, and head down to Aspen to hike to the Maroon Bells by 9am when they close off the parking lot in order to regulate the number of hikers (like Hanging Lake). Wellll that didn’t happen due to my sleeping through my alarm, which I can only guess can be chalked up to the fact that I was OUT after a long day of hours of driving, Mount Evans climbing, Hanging Lake hiking, and night time hot springs swimming. ALAS, we managed to make our day in Aspen absolutely magical. Because we are the best.

Some places in this vast ole world of ours are best presented visually, because words really can’t do the place justice. Aspen is one of those places. To be fair, the quality of my photos really can’t do Aspen justice either, but without further adieuuuu….

Beautiful photos! I’ve never been to Aspen, but we stayed up near Vail in a town called Avon 2 years ago and it was beautiful 🙂
