our weekend in Seattle was a whole lotta YES.
Did I think it was a clean, manageable city that was both beautiful and interesting? Yes. Did I laugh more that weekend than I had in several weeks? Yes. Could I see myself moving there someday and living happily ever after? Unsurprisingly, this, too, is another yes.

Yooo Rocky Mountains!
Mount Rainier peeping out from above the clouds as we descended into Seattle.
Amy, Ryan (who was visiting us in Colorado that week), and I landed in Seattle on that clear Thursday afternoon and found that we had brought Denver’s sunshine with us. Kevin, a friend from home who now KILLS IT AT LIFE in every way in Seattle, was kindly hosting us for the weekend, and he so generously picked us up from the airport, giving us the perfect little introductory driving tour of the city.
That night, we went out to eat at some lit pizza place in downtown Seattle.
The next few days were spent walking all over Seattle’s streets, drinking a lot of Seattle beer, meeting some new Seattle transplants (so many Amazon/Microsoft employees!!!!)(including a handful of Penn Staters – we are everywhere), and checking out Seattle from above via the Space Needle.
I snapped away all weekend, and here are some of my favorite shots:
